Top 5 iOS 14 Features!
I n September 2020, Apple introduced iOS 14, latest update. The update includes significant changes like design changes, interface modifications, app updates, and the addition of a few other cool features. Lets see Top 5 features of them.
1. Hidden Pages of Apps
Now we can hide an entire pages of applications from home screen. If we click on the bar shown here we can select and deselect which all pages we need to be displayed in the home screen. All the remaining applications will be there in the App library, one of the new feature. It categorizes all the apps, and helps to hide apps in home screen. This gives your iPhone a clean organized look, and makes it easy to use.
2. Widgets
It’s an another cool feature of iOS 14, having widgets on home screen, especially for face id devices it’s hard to check the battery percent. Also we can see battery percent of our apple watch and even our AirPods, so we can keep track of all our devices battery percent all time on the screen. By clicking on edit there is a ton more widgets you can have like Smart Stack, clock, weather, photos etc. Also third party widgets are also available which makes your iPhone really cool.
3. Incoming Call UI
Many users have requested it for years, and finally Apple is out with it. It is not intrusive at all, you can just swipe it away without declining the call, the call will be still ringing in the background but it’s not intrusive you can click it back to reply or to actually answer the call. It’s much more useful for teenagers, Like if you guys are in any kind off party, then suddenly your Dad calls, just swipe away and enjoy.
4. Back Tap
Back tap is a new accessibility features on your iPhone that makes the update really cool. Back tap have two different actions, you have double tap and triple tap to perform a particular action on your iPhone. You can setup particular action for both double tap and triple tap on your iPhone. Just by tapping at the back of your iPhone do whatever you want. Definitely a new and awesome feature of iOS 14.
5. PIP (Picture-in-Picture)
PIP features allows you to watch videos while you are browsing on your iPhone. You can set it aside bring it back on same position zoom in and out you have all your controls. PIP also works with the facetime call, so you can browse whatever you want on your iPhone while on a call with someone in facetime. Other apps like YouTube application doesn’t support this feature, but you can make use of pip while watching YouTube in any browser. In future most of the application are likely to have this feature.
