I read an article posted on Cult of Mac with some interest. Normally, the Cult of Mac provides excellent reviews and information. Granted, this was an opinion piece. But it rather surprised me at how short sighted the author was. Not because I disagree with what the author had to say, but because of the pessimism that riddled the article.

The Difficulties with the iPad user Interface

It is true, as the author points out that iPadOS is rife with inconsistencies in how to do, even the simplest of tasks such as duplicating something.

The author gives three examples of apps controlled by Apple and the sometimes ‘bizarre’ way an iPad user must work to duplicate the item. He selected Photos, Files and Pages. To me, this was a somewhat bizarre selection of apps to compare.

Let’s examine each of these apps to establish some baseline understanding, as each of them…
