Anti-Trump Bias Isn’t Helping the Cause

Assuming the cause is to make America a better place to live and where people don’t want to vote for Trump.

People with an anti-Trump stance often seem to forget that around half of the population wants to vote for him. You can’t simply say that 80 million people are stupid. Neither can you magically make them disappear.

And the likeliest scenario in November is that all these people will vote for Trump and elect him to a second term because not enough people on the other side listen to their concerns.

“They’re idiots.”

“Their concerns are not valid.”

“They shouldn’t have these concerns.”

These aren’t answers. And yet, it’s what I mostly see on Medium and social media. (Maybe I’m biased and not looking at the right corners of the internet.)

There are countless articles explaining how Trump is substandard, dreadful, terrible, awful, nasty, and insert your favorite adjective here. But I have seen very few, if any, trying to understand why people want to vote for him.

Writers too often dismiss Trump’s voters as ignorant (bigoted and more).
