Better Half or Buttered Up Half?
What goes wrong and what do we do about it?
It was so calm that he could even hear his own breathing. And then the storm appeared. Thunder. Rain. Thunder. Rain. At last clear sky emerged.
Misunderstanding would be an understatement. It was a clear lack of concern for a fellow human being. All that mattered was maintaining an unsustainable version of the self that was pleasing to everybody else. Of course excluding the better-half.
It never occurred to him that he could be wrong. Finally all of her premonitions turned out to be true.
Civilised human beings are patriarchal by practice. In politics, governance, arts, science and in most other walks of life, men usually have the final say. So it feels natural to bring that bevavior home with us. But what a blunder?
Men are good at plumbing the clogged pipelines. But Women are more nuanced and have a better sense of running a family.
If you are serious about raising a happy-healthy family, then you should lend your heart not just the ears to your woman.
Marriages are made in Heaven.
You have been given the perfect life partner who can challenge you to become a better person on a daily basis. Don’t waste this opportunity of a lifetime. Many a lives were harmed for the lack of this basic clarity.
Better than a therapist.
If you have the perfect relationship with your wife, you don’t need an outsider to help with your emotional wellbeing. She is more than what you would ever need.
No Lip Service.
Don’t just act as if you care. She will know it sooner than later. Be there for her in totality. You will not regret it at all.
A Word on Extra Marital Affairs.
A hug. A kiss. A cuddle.
That’s all needed for the physical most of the times.
It’s the mental that clogs the space with it’s borrowed ideas.
Made for each other. That’s how it was always intended.
This single practice cleans up a lot of mess we made or intend to make. Focus and clarity of thought will be back in your life.
No more a Puzzle.
Husband-Wife relationship is only perplexing as long as the mind reigns supreme. Once you bring your heart to the table, the tables turn. As the name says she is your better half, better than your side of the half. That should help I guess.
I might have written this for Men. But Women can also equally make use of this discussion to bring about a change in the relationship with their partners.
