This is a story about a company called FragrantFarts.com.

A global conglomerate, adding fragrance to consumer’s farts across the world. Adding back the romance & happiness (which got drowned in the loud noises and terrible smells of Urban indigestion), in people’s lives.

Actually the story is about a small business unit of FragrantFarts.com located in a far flung, isolated desert on an island led by a Gentleman named Jamal who is equally erratic if not more, than Michael Scott of the famous TV series “The Office ‘’.

Jamal is the supreme leader of this small, ignored, foster business unit of FragrantFarts.com. Jamal’s word is the rule.
The problem is no one in the office follows the rules.

If a meeting is scheduled at 9AM, Jamal will reach the meeting not earlier than 10.
If a meeting is about fishes, Jamal will distract the entire group and talk about red socks.
If a meeting is pre lunch, Jamal will get hungry and want biscuits to eat. If the meeting is post lunch, then also Jamal will get hungry and want biscuits.
Jamal does not believe in corporate words like reviews, processes and decision making. He is a firm believer of procrastination, indecisiveness and leaving things to God.
Jamal does not have Gender bias. He will itch himself vigorously irrespective of male, female or mixed audience.

Jamal leads a team of 10 super competent employees hand picked and trained by Jamal himself. If Jamal is the fart, they are the fragrance which completes this office of FragrantFarts.com

This wonder team of 11 have been shattering norms for a decade.

Jamal’s finance & sales teams do not waste time on useless things like data. They use the free of cost, widely available thing called GUT.

Jamal’s IT team does not waste time on redundant things like servers and computers to store information. They use free of cost, widely available, most potent thing called, BRAIN.

While competition works towards innovation and new product development, Jamal’s marketing team works very hard towards keeping the products as is. Here Change is not the only constant, instead constant is the only constant.

Jamal’s supply chain team does not waste energy in creating processes. Processes make daily life dull. In FragrantFarts.com, every day unfolds differently. Everyday is a roller coaster ride. It is like a new episode of a long running TV show.

Jamal & Co live strictly by the motto “No decision is better than wrong decision”. So they perpetually live in the zone of no decision, till the time someone else makes the decision for them. No decision means no analysis means no debate means no meeting means no thinking means no stress.

The thing about Jamal & Co is, despite these unique capabilities and skillset, they manage a sizable business. The secret to what sells, how it sells, where it sells, why it sells is all buried deep down in the pacific ocean. The point is, IT SELLS.

I picture Jamal & Co standing in frame, smiling, with a caption: “Somehow we manage”.
