I loved Barbie. She was pink, perfect, beautiful, kind, smart and everything I wanted to be.

I wanted to be like her when I grew up.

Instead, today’s media headlines have me acting more like Invader Zim.

You guys remember that little gremlin, right?

Welp, once or twice a day, I find myself quoting one of his most hilarious lines:

Zim’s Lies — YouTube

My homey, Invader Zim.

My homey, Zim had the most tactful way of calling out peoples’ bullsh*t.

“You’re Lying!!!!!!”

Unfortunately, I have myself screaming those words in my head on the daily. This is something I do often as someone middling on all political issues.

Democrats and Republicans are constantly lying.

But I will admit, Democrats are the ones lying the most right now. They do this because they have complete control over the media.

“Our forces are not and will not be engaged in the conflict. . . Our forces are not going to Europe to fight in Ukraine but to defend our NATO allies and reassure those allies in the east.” Biden said on 02/24/2022.

Here’s an 11/02/2022 “Fact Check” link stating US troops were not in Ukraine.

Now that apparently there may have very well been US troops sent to Ukraine, the media has decided to turn all attention to a “traitor” that exposed the lie instead of the Biden administration lie.

I’m not in any way condoning or condemning the acts of the leaker, but I am tired of the media manipulation.

Flashback to the FBI suppressing stories about Hunter Biden’s laptop, prompting the media to say it was unverified supposedly when it totally was or could have been.

I’m just tired of the lying!!

My homey, Zim.

Why do media headlines manipulate facts so much?

A headline that crossed the line today:

“Florida Is Banning The Biggest Cult Movie Of All Time” (Rocky Horror Picture Show)

I clicked the link because no way in my state can anyone ban my favorite thirst trap, Tim Curry.

Turns out they didn’t. A new Florida law would ban minors from attending drag shows. Left leaning media justified the headline by claiming technically underaged people would be banned from attending all live performances or screenings of shows that include drag like Rocky Horror Picture Show or Hair.

Now, people can debate whether the substance of the bill is fair or not. But ultimately, I’m really bothered by a media headline trying to convince me that the cult movie is completely banned from the state of Florida.

There is no ban. It’s not like Footloose where the mayor might show up in your home if you have a house party where there’s dancing involved. . .

There is no ban from people buying the movie and watching it in their home. The legislation is about public screenings or live drag shows.

If a public debate based in fact was something that the media platform wanted to discuss, they would have had an honest headline. . .

“Florida bans underaged people from attending live media that includes drag.”

But they didn’t. They released a misleading headline.

They are LYING!!!!! It’s a lie!!!!!!!!

There are nuances involved and I don’t appreciate being treated like a lemming that doesn’t question or speak out over intentionally deceptive headlines.

I’m not saying that Republicans don’t lie, too. In fact, I preach on the soap box that I have permanently built on the driveway of my home about it quite a bit. But there really is a huge bias with left leaning media control.

They create sensationalist headlines to elicit extreme reactions. They do it because they know many people will read the headline without reading the actual article.

I am a dainty girl, who wears heels and a lot of pink. I don’t appreciate manipulative journalists turning me into a green goblin because they totally are manipulating the narrative of all issues for their political perspective instead of just giving us common folk the facts and letting us make our own opinion.
