I Won $5,000 in the Lottery — This Is My Plan

It’s not much, but it’s way more than I have ever won.

I could blow it all tomorrow. Today even! But I decided to be reasonable; I’m not sixteen anymore.

I have a plan.

I want to transform these $5,000 opportunities into a much higher number. I give myself a year. If it goes well, I will be in a better place by then.

Here’s how I will do it.

#1 — Blow $500

I said I could blow it all but decided not to. I didn’t say I wouldn’t blow anything! What’s the point of winning some decent money at the lottery if I don’t have some fun out of it?!

It’s high time for $500 worth of party.

I’m hoping this fun part will serve as an inspiration to make the rest grow.

Remains: $4,500

#2 — Get a graduate certificate from an online university — $2,400 ($200/month)

“Investing in knowledge is never lost, Smillew. Even if you don’t make a living out of it, you’ll still have something interesting to say at dinner parties.” — My grandma.

With my limited (time and) budget, I think online studies are the best choice…
