Korčula is a beautiful island located in Croatia, in the Adriatic Sea. It is known for its beautiful and clean, beaches, crystal-clear water full of life and the old town.

Fun fact the island is a birthplace of Marco Polo. That is why every other store is called Marco Polo.

I was really surprised by its natural beauty and cultural heritage.

Odysseus Cave

Odysseus cave/Author’s source

We decided to book a trip to Odysseus cave because it sounded like a cool place to visit. Boat trips aren’t that expensive, and most of them include lunch, and a small break on different islands.

Odysseus cave is a natural attraction, located about one hour away from Korčula. According to the Greek mythology, it is believed to be the cave mentioned in Homer’s epic poem about Odyssey. Odyssey was a mythical hero.

According to the stories, Odyssey lived here with his lover. Other stories tell a different story. Odysseus went on a long journey to come back home to Ithaca. His shipwrecked and he found a shelter in this cave.
