Sure I’m brilliant. I write on Medium don’t I?

But even I have a bad idea occasionally.

The baddy often starts out as a story draft, gets partially developed, then dies an ignominious death, and thankfully never sees the light of day.

There’s also the much larger category of bad ideas that start out as drafts, get painfully developed into full stories, and get posted. Those turds sometimes get boosted. But, that’s a whole ‘nother can of worms.

Bottom line (and I do mean bottom): here are several of my worst ideas for 2024. They started out moribund, progressed quickly on to death, remained dead and could not be resuscitated, and you never had to deal with them.
