At the time of writing, I’m under investigation by my HR department for poor communication, gaslighting, spam, and fraud.

I know it sounds terrible, but I believe it’s a complete effing joke, which I cleverly, and upon the advice of my counsel, called a simple misunderstanding in my latest email to HR.

I know how to be diplomatic when necessary.

Their reply, “We hear you, we are working on it, and we will keep you updated,” gave me hope. I trust the problem to be resolved soon(ish).

Let me give you some context. I’m sure you’ll be on my side.

It all started when one of my colleagues (Nancy) shared a data science article she had read on Substack.

I thanked her profusely because I particularly appreciate authentic stories with thoughtful, nuanced, and knowledgeable perspectives like the one Nancy sent. It’s exactly the sort of story that enriches my life and helps me get a better grasp of the fascinating topic that is data science. It’s a bit of a secret, but my goal for 2025 is to become a data scientist and get hired by a medium-sized media company.
