I had breakfast with Grandma to discuss the earnings meltdown last weekend, and she said to forget about the cents.

“Smillew, you need a BHAG for your writing career this year.”

“A tote bag, you mean? But it was only for the first 500 friends or something. I’m late to the party.”

She tsk-tsked and rolled her eyes.

“No. I mean a Big Hairy Audacious Goal. A BHAG. It’s from a book called Built to Last: Successful Habits of Visionary Companies.”

“Didn’t all the companies mentioned as examples bankrupt during the 2008 crisis?”

Grandma tsk-tsked again and asked for a cocoa refill.

Later that day, I brainstormed with my cat.

After a quick talk, we concluded that a nap was a great way to start the session.

But Grandma’s idea had taken root, and I woke up with a craving for more. A long walk reminded me of Coach Tony’s words.
