New: Featured Profiles

Learn about the investing journeys of prominent entrepreneurs and experts.

According to a recent survey of our members, the majority of people say they are self-taught when it comes to the basics of investing. Moreover, 63% of this same group said that friends and communities are their primary source of education and advice when it comes to investing.

Public is a community of investors where people can exchange ideas about investing and business trends overall. Hearing the stories of others, especially when you’re just starting out, can help build confidence as you build your financial literacy.

To surface some of these stories in the app, we just launched a new section of the Explore tab to highlight prominent entrepreneurs and experts in our community.

Featured Profiles include exclusive interviews with popular investors in our app and in business and pop culture overall. Members can tap into the Explore tab to see the first group of profiles.

Here’s a preview of what you’ll find:

• Morgan DeBaun, Founder and CEO of Blavity, Inc. talks about investing at a young age and how she makes investment decisions today.
• Justin Gignac, Founder and CEO of the global creative community Working Not Working talks about how is expertise in brands translates to his portfolio strategy.

Every day in our app, investors from different professional backgrounds and walks of life and come together and discuss business and investing trends.
