Public Expands its Editorial and Content Arm

Today, we announce the official launch of the Public Media Network, our content network that hosts all Public media and shows in one place. Our content arm was started in 2021 as we saw a shift in how millennial and Gen Z investors accessed news and financial information following Gamestop. Retail investors watch broadcast television, but they also receive financial information on social media and from influencers. This was an opportunity to create content for our investors in the same place where they invest that served the need to create high-quality content from journalists, financial experts, and trusted creators.

Since then, we have expanded outside the Public app and share our content through YouTube, Instagram, creator partnerships, newsletters, in-app, and X short-form videos. Our media network now hosts all of the Public media and shows, where we have various different formats, hosts, and lengths of content to meet the evolving needs of investors.

Since the start of 2024, our new shows and content partnerships have garnered tens of millions of organic views across all channels. We are adding more hosts and shows to its roster this year, streamlining our content into digestible new formats for retail investors as viewership has doubled year to date. The Public shows in the media network include:

  • The Rundown: A five-minute daily stock market update hosted by finance creator Zaid Admani. It launched in the Public app in October 2023 and on Spotify and Apple Podcasts in January 2024. The podcast currently ranks in the Top 10 Business podcasts on Spotify.
  • Leading Indicator: A video show featuring interviews with executives of publicly traded companies, Wall Street analysts, reporters, economists, and more. Currently hosted by Ann Berry, Kyla Scanlon, J.D. Durkin, Nora Ali, and Kinsey Grant, with new hosts joining the show, including Axios’ Senior Business Reporter, Hope King.
  • The Brainstorm: A weekly video series in co-production with ARK Investment Management LLC (“ARK Invest” or “ARK”): Hosted by Nick Grous, Associate Portfolio Manager at ARK, and Sam Korus, Director of Research Autonomous Technology & Robotics at ARK. ARK’s team shares insights about trending developments in tech and interviews with executives from emerging technology companies.

This is only the beginning of the Public Media Network. We look to add more shows, newsletters, and creators to our network to focus on producing digestible content for investors.
