Business news moves so quickly that it can be difficult for investors to keep up. Every day in the public markets, companies IPO, report earnings, change leadership, launch products and make moves that retail investors care about and want to discuss with one another.
Today, we’re launching Public Live — our new audio broadcast feature that gives members direct access to business leaders, financial creators, and industry experts as events in the market unfold in real time. Members can easily drop in to listen as guests discuss the latest business moves, in the same place where they invest and share their own insights with a community of fellow investors.
A key part of our mission is to make the stock market more educational.
Because things in the markets change rapidly, we believe live audio is the perfect format to unpack and break down market events as they happen. Hosted by respected sources from the business community, Public Live will offer members real-time opportunities to learn about how an earnings call can move a stock, how consumer behavior drives product decisions, and what to look for when a company files to go public — and will ultimately help retail investors expand their knowledge of the markets.
Join us on Public Live
Our first Public Live will take place in the app on Wednesday, May 26 at 4 PM ET. It will be co-hosted by Scott Galloway, NYU Stern business professor, entrepreneur, and co-host of the Pivot podcast, and Stephanie Ruhle, NBC News senior business correspondent and MSNBC anchor.
How It Works
Public Lives will be hosted when there’s breaking news in the markets. In the app, you’ll see the “Public Live” button appear when one is taking place.
Members can drop in (and out) to listen at their discretion. Currently, listeners will not be able to engage with the hosts directly in the Live sessions, but we will keep you posted on future updates to Public Live here.
