Isn’t time we finally made peace with our friend cardio?

5 minutes into my 20 minute cardio session:
“You’re 1/4 of the way there. You got this!”

10 minutes in:
“Half way there! Just do 5 minutes; two more times.”

15 minutes in:
“3/4 done. 5 more minutes and you’re FREE!”

Yup, That’s the face.

Anyone else have this conversation in their head while trying to get through their cardio?

If you absolutely hate the thought of doing cardio, I can honestly tell you, I’ve been there, I get bored. Who wants to be walking/running on a treadmill, on a stationary bike, or stair master for 20 minutes, or for some, an hour!

However, If we’re trying to reach our fitness goals, you know we have to suck it up and just do it. But how do we make it fun to keep us from getting bored?

First, start off by setting a small goal.
If you’re running on the treadmill, see how long it takes you to run 2–3 miles. From there, set a goal every day you do cardio to try and beat your best time. If you like the stair master, increase your level to as fast as you can go and hold that pace for one minute. Keep your goals simple and fun.

Time to binge watch.
Do you have a favorite TV series you like to watch? Well, use your cardio time to get an episode in! You’ll be too focused on your show to even notice the time going by. I’m currently rewatching the last season of Prison Break to prepare for the new season release on April 4! Watching the show during my workouts has helped me tremendously since I’m having to do more cardio due to an injury.

Listen to some good Vibes.
