Dangerous Liaisons is a story of sensuality, seduction and schemes. Forget love triangles, we’re talking about love octagons and power plays. Initially set as a play in 1782 by Pierre Cholderlos de Lacios, the story was adapted into the 1988 film of the same name; winning 3 of its 7 Oscar nominations. The story was also loosely adapted into the 1999 film Cruel Intentions. With a story that plays out better than any reality show, the tale proves that the art of seduction as power has always made for a good story. This week’s Pulp Playlist was inspired by the tale and plays almost like a soundtrack to the story. This is one of the few playlist that we’d encourage you to listen to start to finish first before hitting the shuffle button. The mood is dark, sexy, brooding and most definitely confident — all the things we love. Get in touch with the darker, sexier, side of you (but keep it cute), and let the games begin.

STUFF WE LOVE

More Life — Drake🔥🔥

You already knew we were here for the tropical sounds and occasional house vibes Drizzy displays on this album. As whole we ain’t loving it as much as Views, but with standout tracks like Passionfruit and Blem, it’s still getting some love.

At What Cost — Goldlink 🔥🔥🔥

There is nothing else to say other than At What Cost is a banger from start to finish. Goldlink somehow masterfully weaves in and out of genres with flawless delivery and wordplay. This should easily be a contender for Best Rap Album, and definitely will appear on several year-end list.
