Our first glimpse of snow, plasma car racing, and Halloween made this past month a memorable one.
Here’s a look back at October 2019 in photos:
Studio Theatre celebrated its 70th anniversary season, starting with Shakespeare’s iconic Richard III (Oct. 11–19, Timms Centre for the Arts). Directed by MFA Directing candidate Max Rubin, the production features work by students in the BFA and MFA Drama programs.
On October 25, the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine received a 1 Health Services Group Commander’s Commendation from the Canadian Armed Forces for their support of the Royal Canadian Medical Service, National Medical Technician Workshop, February 19–21, 2019.
The three authors of Power Play: Professional Hockey and the Politics of Urban Development attended the launch of their book on October 23 at Audreys Books. The authors are U of A professor Jay Scherer, retired U of A professor David Mills, and former City Councillor Linda Sloan McCulloch.
