Morvi Club

Many of us would have heard about the Morvi Club but are unaware of what it is. Here we present the founders of The Morvi Club telling us about their initiative.

“Incubating million-dollar start-ups straight from campus has been a hallmark of modern day institutions of higher education. If the centuries old universities of the West can do it, why can’t we? This has been a fundamental question that, we, a few alumni have as an inspiration to embark on this new effort.

The Morvi Club will be a bridge between the legends and rookies from IIT (BHU). The primary focus of this Benaresi-at-heart group (with a global footprint) is to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit amongst the IIT (BHU) diaspora. Students from campus, most often, are exposed only to competitions that are fast paced and specific to certain domain of entrepreneurship. Limiting visionary ideas being exposed to only such platforms that have limited resources, financial or otherwise, has been a prime reason why many ideas generated in campus often fail to see the light of the day.

The Morvi Club is, therefore, NOT intended to be a one-off event or an exclusive arena intended only for ideas with a proven commercial benefit. Gathering a broader perspective of the ecosystemic development we seek to make, we are open to work with start-up ideas at any stage of maturity. Most often that not, the only limits to one’s aspirations turn out to be not having contacts to the right person at the right time. When anyone of you have an idea and are convinced that it is what you would like to pursue wholeheartedly, reach out to us. We’ll help you with mentoring, guidance, access to resources, technical know-how, potential investors, suitable collaborators as well as platforms to present to wider audiences. We have already had interactions with the first batch of start ups from campus and we’re excited to keep working more regularly.

Acting as a medium between potential investors, enthusiastic entrepreneurs as well as eager mentors among the alumni fraternity, The Morvi Club is the Sangam of ideas, skills and expertise. We give you the ideal opportunity to make the best of your potential, leveraging the invaluable resources available thanks to the alumni community.
