Psalm 16 — Keep Me Safe

Oh God, please keep me safe
In the dead of night
When all around is strife;
I have no strength to fight.

Oh God, please keep me safe:
Walk beside me here
In this shaky place
For there is much to fear.

Oh God, please keep me safe,
And make my fate secure:
A long and joyful life
Oh Lord, will You ensure?

Oh God, please keep me safe,
And keep me near always
To look upon Your face
And ever give You praise.

Esther learned to read when she was four years old, and began writing shortly thereafter. She is a queer Christian poet, crafting with words to create art and music.
