A Kyrielle

When I am veiled beneath the shroud
Of gloom portending pain and death,
I am not cowed. I will stand proud.
You bring me to Your banquet house.

Through pastures green my heart You lead,
Restore my soul and grant me breath
And all I need. You’ve guaranteed
My place within Your banquet house.

Beside still waters I will rest;
You care for me and comfort me;
Though foes ‘round press I will confess
You’ll bring me to Your banquet house.

And when I sit with You to dine,
In presence of my enemy,
You’ll pour the wine; t’will be a sign
You’ve brought me to Your banquet house.

Forever I will live with You
For I am Yours and You are mine;
From morning dew to evening blue
You’ll keep me in Your banquet house.

Each day my cup will overflow;
The water transform into wine
Your grace to show, and now they know
My place is in Your banquet house.
