Psalm 65 — Full of Grain

A Ballad

--

A valley green with neat, even furrows. Behind are distant blue mountains.

The valleys, full of grain, will sing;
The little hills rejoice;
The pastures, clothed with flocks of sheep,
Will offer up their voice.

Blessed is the man You choose
To come in near to You,
To dwell in plenty in Your House,
Satisfied with You.

You direct the ocean’s song,
The chorus of the waves,
The melody upon the dawn,
The ballad of the grave.

The valleys, full of grain, will sing;
The little hills rejoice;
The pastures, clothed with flocks of sheep,
Will offer up their voice.

You cultivate and tend the earth,
And make it soft with rain.
Your pathways drip with fruitfulness;
You provide our grain.

The valleys, full of grain, will sing;
The little hills rejoice;
The pastures, clothed with flocks of sheep,
Will offer up their voice.

Esther learned to read when she was four years old, and began writing shortly thereafter. She is a queer Christian poet, crafting with words to create art and music.
