The insolent say God is on their side;
They boast of things they do not know;
They’re bold, abusive, cruel in their pride.

Do not lift up your heads so brazen, snide,
Look down your nose, think we’re below;
So insolent to say God’s on your side.

How many children thanks to you have died?
So many answers that you owe,
So bold, abusive, cruel in your pride.

The cup of sacred wine you have denied;
You poured it out; the blood did flow:
So insolent to say God’s on your side.

The wine is mixed with every tear we’ve cried,
A scarlet spray upon the snow:
So bold, abusive, cruel in your pride.

Oh God, they’ll drink the dregs of Your riptide,
And You will raise a bright rainbow.
The insolent say You are on their side,
So bold, abusive, cruel in their pride.
