A memory, often marred
Remembrance, a little too hard
The location of your phone, wallet
And that stupid, damn watchamacallit
That black piece of plastic: the credit card!

You’re fond of a competitive chase
Of winning and not just keeping pace
Though when your eyes do glaze
And you enter a meditative maze
You draw endless lines on your wonderful face

Aspire to be someone or thing
But please continue to cling
To the notion that those on the ‘gram
Have rarefied bodies and fake tans
And the notion that your beauty eclipses Spring
