Fleeing Facebook for MeWe!
We are forced to leave Facebook due to their own policies. Facebook has allowed a malicious bully to harass our pages. He files bogus reports accusing the page of spam, hate, etc. and Facebook blocks it as punishment without investigation.
We wouldn’t mind staying at Facebook, we’ve worked hard there to build up our pages. But everytime we get unblocked the bully files another bogus accusation and Pavlov’s dogs at Facebook start drooling and block the page yet again. Well, screw Facebook, there’s a new kid in town.
MeWe still has some work to do, but at least it’s competition and with Facebook becoming more and more authoritarian it’s time to pull the plug.
Not all our pages have moved over to MeWe but here are the ones we set up. Click on anyone of the names to open the page.
Our main page, The Moorfield Storey Institute is now up at MeWe. It is our daily commentary and will link to our essays. For the essays that were at Facebook we are moving all of them this page on Medium: The Radical Center.
We have set up a page Libertarianism to discuss mainstream libertarian theory. We advocate limited goverment and the protection of individual rights. We try to look at ways to increase individual freedom more than debate ideal utopias in the far off future.
Facts Not Fear was one of more popular Facebook pages. The page is short on commentary and mainly focuses on statistics and charts. For the most part we try to rebut common misconceptions about the present state of the world and show hard evidence than things are quite as bad as you think they are.
Libertarians Concerned was another popular Facebook page that Facebook is destroying, so find it on MeWe. The page looks at equality of rights for LGBT individuals from a libertarian perspective. We try to keep up on the news of interest to the Rainbow community.
Libertarian Book Club is our page for promoting books of a libertarian interest along with a link directly to our low-priced libertarian book service. It will have short descriptions of the book and a link to our Fr33minds book site so you can order them on the spot. Most our prices are below Amazon prices and books are shipped the same day or next business day 95% of the time.
The Other Side of Ayn Rand is our page to look at Ayn Rand in a broader perspective than the normal “media” account.
We still have a few pages to set up and when we do they will be posted here.
Now, if you would like to share our information on Facebook you might run into a problem. Apparently Facebook is using their Big Brother methods to prevent certain links to MeWe—like Trump they hate competition. So, if you want to tell people where we moved and why just share this page with them. Facebook isn’t blocking Medium—at least not at this time!
