My Apologies

In a nutshell there was a personal disaster. I have a new piece almost finished. But a personal disaster hit here of the variety some describe as a “act of God.” It was weather related and it the house where I lived right in the path of want amounted to a hurricane—albeit well inland.

There were massive winds that literally sent rain flying horizontal to the ground and it tore into the house literally ripping a huge section of roof away as well as flinging a set of solar panels flying. They were hundreds of pounds in weight and secured to the roof.

The missing ceiling is over my bedroom and the guest room. Roofers had to be found urgently as a series of storms were hitting the area—which is normally quiet dry. This is creating a severe financial strain. It also came at a time when a medical appointment was scheduled and that takes up most the day. Here are a couple of photos showing the damage that is being dealt with.

I will try to get this out of the way as soon as possible and reproof the piece in waiting and get it posted. From what we could see our part of the desert was the center of this storm. While we have seen other property damaged none as badly, or costly, as this. One recently renovated building with two small mural painted on it had both murals ripped off the side but appears intact.
