Intro

Art Bezrukavenko & Stanchris have presented their first short film: *Second Thought*. (YouTube June 2024)

We follow two guys, both traveling to Provincetown. Their preparation and journey are depicted in a split-screen format.

They seem very innocent in the introduction, though there’s no doubt they are aware of how they interact with the world around them.

Their clothing and style are perfect.
Something is going to happen.
Other guys’ glances are noticed but ignored.

Then comes the big problem: how do you connect with another person who could be interesting? Today’s tool is, of course, the dating app, where they diligently scroll through the guys nearby.

We get a glimpse into the quick and superficial display window that the app’s photos are.

A quick decision is made, and the first step is taken in the form of a little chat on the app, and a quick date is arranged.

Now, the date takes two different paths. Again, the director plays with the duality.
