Puerto Rico is a small island, approximately 110 miles long and 35 miles wide, found in the Caribbean Archipelago at these coordinates:

Longitude: W 66°30'0" — Latitude: N 18°15'0".

Due to it’s location and geographical formation, the island have an extremely diverse ecosystem with rain forest, mountain range, over 1,200 beaches and coastlines, deserts, flat fields, desert forest, 224 rivers with 55 of those rivers ending in the ocean, and 553 gorge streams. It contains all that, in this tiny island, truly making it a small paradise in the Caribbean.

Now I’ll be showing five of mt favorite landscapes found in Puerto Rico: mountain, rives in the rain forest, flat fields, beaches and coastline and night landscape.

Mountain

The mountain range of Puerto Rico divides the island horizontally all the way from the east in Humacao and ending in the west by Maricao. Navigating through the mountains in Puerto Rico is not an easy task to accomplish since you’ll be navigating on narrow steep roads, tons and tons of curves that will definitely make your head spin; also it never stops raining.

Rain Forest

. In a matter of seconds you can go from a nice day in the river to dangerous situations with a rush of water coming from the mountain.

Fields

The agricultural industry in Puerto Rico used to be massive, with over 80% of the island producing their own food. As industrialization settled in the island, Puerto Rico became very dependent on importation and less of growing our own food resulting on thousands of acres being abandoned, left to the mercy of nature. Now less than 10% of the island food products are grown locally.

Beaches and Coastlines

With over 1,200 beaches surrounding the island, Puerto Rico is filled with gorgeous beaches where you can swim, snorkel, and enjoy a relaxed time on the sand.

Starlight

Puerto Rico is an island where light pollution is severe due to the overpopulation and finding a good pocket of clear sky is challenging but worth it.
