For many of us in the US, we just want Trump to go away and never be heard of again. However, he has managed to secure himself a place in history for eternity — he is the only president thus far to have been impeached twice. Anything else about his presidency will likely be just footnotes, but his double impeachment has secured his legacy. The reasons for and against those impeachments will be discussed in high school history classes, college law classes, and among political historians for generations. We will never be rid of the curse that is Donald J. Trump.

With just a week left to his presidency, the world too is ready to be rid of him. Scotland has refused him entry due to Covid-19 (and likely other reasons), and Europe has refused to meet with his SoS Pompeo. Is our collective nightmare almost over? One can hope.
