I wander, alone
tracing memories of you
‘long beaten sand dunes

I hear your calling
the quiet lull of swishing
whitecaps billowing

breathing in and out
thrusting seashells at my feet
gifts from ancient depths

I long to be there
not to merely reminiscence
wipe away these tears

this mourning for you
that deep profound desire
for a lover’s kiss

your silken touch
immerses me within you
washes away fear

my passion won’t wane
even as you recede home
once again, alone
