Feb 1st — on January 24th, 2024, Sci-Tech High School hosted its inaugural science fair, showcasing the critical thinking and scientific talents of scholar scientists across all grades. After months of passionate work by administrators, teachers, parents and students to overcome resource limitations and tight timelines, the collaborative event featured 16 categories and standout projects ranging from renewable energy solutions to forensic science.

Awards handed out at the Science Fair Award Ceremony

Impressing attendees of all ages, scholars tapped into their creativity and analytical abilities to produce compelling experiments and striking trifold poster board displays. The fair seems likely to become an inspiring new school tradition that encourages budding scientists for years to come.

An award ceremony was held on February 30th, 2024 to recognize the achievements. Category winners and special awardees from this pioneering event are listed below, marking an uplifting celebration of academic excellence and communal spirit at Sci-Tech High School.

The success of Sci-Tech High School’s inaugural science fair marks an inspiring achievement that taps into scholars’ talents and celebrates academic excellence.

Despite limitations, Wayside administrators, teachers, parents and scholars collaborated to produce an event that left attendees impressed with the critical thinking and creativity on display. As an uplifting new school tradition, the fair cultivated communal spirit and encouraged young scientists to pursue their academic passions.

With standout experiments and engaged scholars enriching the academic community, the Sci-Tech High School Science Fair seems destined to make the grade for years to come.
