Club de Jardinería se estrena en Sci-Tech High School

Con el inicio de un nuevo año escolar en Sci-Tech High School, se presenta una novedosa oportunidad para los estudiantes: el recién formado club de jardinería.
Para adentrarnos en los detalles de esta innovadora propuesta, conversé por correo electrónico con la maestra Masini, la maestra de español I, II y III, quien está al frente de esta iniciativa.
Una de las primeras inquietudes que planteé fue sobre el propósito fundamental del club.
La maestra Masini expresó:
“El objetivo principal del club es enseñar a los estudiantes cómo iniciar y mantener un jardín.”
De esta manera, nos brinda una clara idea del enfoque del club.
Además, la maestra agregó:
“La meta es crear y sostener un jardín, observar nuestros logros y buscar formas de mejorarlo con el tiempo.”
El club ha sido diseñado con los estudiantes en mente, buscando que, al finalizar sus estudios en Sci-Tech High School, comprenderán la importancia de cuidar la flora a nuestro alrededor y estén capacitados para cuidar sus propias plantas en el futuro.
Dado que el club es una propuesta reciente, no es sorprendente que los recursos iniciales sean limitados.
Sobre este punto, la maestra Masini señaló su deseo de que el club obtenga un mayor apoyo para causar un impacto significativo en la comunidad escolar.
“Sería maravilloso contar con más recursos y una mayor participación de la administración para que este club se transforme en un proyecto comunitario,” expresó Masini.
Para finalizar nuestra charla, la maestra Masini presentó a su colaborador principal, Sr. Cole, quien se encarga de recibir todas las sugerencias y compartir sus conocimientos con los miembros del club, mostrándose siempre dispuesto a ayudar.

Gardening Club Debuts at Sci-Tech High School
As a new school year begins at Sci-Tech High School, there is an exciting opportunity for students: the newly formed gardening club. To delve into the details of this innovative proposal, I spoke via email with Ms. Masini, the Spanish I, II, and III teacher, who is leading this initiative.
One of the first questions I posed was about the primary purpose of the club. Ms. Masini expressed:
“The main objective of the club is to teach students how to start and maintain a garden.”
Furthermore, Ms. Masini added:
“The goal is to create and sustain a garden, observe our achievements, and look for ways to improve it over time.”
The club has been designed with students in mind, hoping that, by the end of their time at Sci-Tech High School, they will understand the importance of caring for the flora around us and be equipped to care for their own plants in the future.
Given that the club is a recent proposal, it’s unsurprising that initial resources are limited. On this point, Ms. Masini expressed her desire for the club to receive more support to make a significant impact on the school community.
“It would be wonderful to have more resources and greater involvement from the administration so that this club transforms into a community project,” Masini expressed.
To conclude our chat, Ms. Masini introduced her main collaborator, Mr. Cole, who is responsible for receiving all suggestions and sharing his knowledge with club members, always ready to help. We hope that, in the near future, our clubs grow and bring about positive change in our educational community.
