Meet the Teacher Conferences Held at Sci-Tech High School

Sci-Tech High School (STHS) hosted a Meet the Teacher today at the Bradshaw campus in Austin. This event allowed parents and scholars to meet their Raven’s Nest teachers before the first day of school on August 8th.
The meet the teacher conferences were hosted from 8am to 5pm and gave parents a chance to learn about new scheduling changes, discuss the importance of attendance, and complete yearly paperwork. Parents picked up their ravens’ schedules in front of the media lab and then met with ‘Raven’s Nests Teachers’ to discuss the upcoming year.
One major focus this year is improving scholar attendance. STHS is participating in a network-wide initiative to reduce absences. Handouts about the importance of attendance were provided to all parents during this even.
With the first day quickly approaching, meet the teacher conferences helped many parents and scholars prepare for the new school year. Scholars got to see their classrooms while parents received tips to help their child succeed this year. The STHS community is now ready to start the year off right on Tuesday morning.
