“Wealth doesn’t make the rich happier but poverty makes the poor sadder”. Interesting isn’t it?

This is a reminder that in your quest to become a better you, remember that money is not the end goal. It is but a tool to help you achieve the real goal.

At REACH HQ, we believe that there’s a difference between life satisfaction and happiness. Life is a lot less sad when you can throw money on your problems but how happy are these people? Indeed money can buy a lot, but it cannot buy everything.

So here are a few things money cannot buy

  1. Time
You can never have more than 24 hours in a day because you’re richer than your neighbor. You can never buy 1 year more to your life because you are richer than your friend. Every minute lost, is lost forever.

2. Health
We see celebs spending all their money to look good and stay young and fail. Once our natural health and vigor is gone, no amount of money can restore it naturally. Money cannot even bring you close.

3. Peace
No matter the amounts that world powers have spent, we are still far from peaceful.
The one who has too much(material possession) to lose does not sleep for fear that it’ll be taken away one night.

4. Talent
There are certain gifts and talents that cannot be bought. Innate parts of you that allow you to do certain things effortlessly. These are things that people spend all they have and all the time to master. Money cannot give you that.

5. Wisdom
There is ease in making the money. Not so much in keeping the money. Else, how can one win 20 million Naira in the lottery and it is gone within 6 months?

6. Presence and Acceptance
The ability to be mindfully present and aware, to accept each and every situation around you, to be able to live and not just exist cannot be bought. Because, if indeed we have this, what is the need for riches?

Rather than being jealous of the material excesses of the rich, less wealthy people seem rather ready to identify their own shortcomings. Learn to live within your means whilst gathering experience and wealth to reach your main goals.
