React Native is a special tech for me — it opened up the world of mobile development that seemed hidden behind the door of Java & Objective-C. Could I learn it? Sure! But it was going to take a lot of time to do so.

When React Native was announced (and I was forced to use it) I quickly started to realize the power of it and recognize all that was now possible though this technology.

Using it has changed my career.

I now teach people to use React Native full time and have a few paid courses teaching people how they can leverage it.

But not everyone is ready to drop money on learning a new tech quite yet — they just want to see what it’s like. So I wanted to share the same way I learned React Native — by building a “real” app.

In this free video course I’ll walk you through, step-by-step, the key elements you’re likely going to need to know regardless of what app you build with React Native. This is based off of my own experiences and surveying hundreds of other developers.

What’s Covered?

In this course we’ll cover building components, navigation, setting up and using Redux, working with a remote API, and everything in between. Eventually we’ll even touch on offline support, testing, and releasing to production.

This is all done through building a currency converter app. It may sound like an odd demo app (and kind of is) but it’s a fun app to build!

You In?

Most of this content will be free (Module 1–7 to be exact) and it will get you up and running building incredible apps while learning about useful packages and various tips.

This is just the beginning. Today the first 4 modules are live. The remainder will be produced and shared in the coming weeks.

Join the “official” study group, invite a friend, invite the office — just start learning React Native!

See you in the course!
