Democrats Have No One to Blame but Themselves for Bernie Sanders

Washington Democrats are in full-blown panic over the highly possible nomination of Socialist Bernie Sanders. They ought to be: Sanders represents a relatively small portion of the Democrat voting base, is proposing ideas which are radical and destructive even for the fiscally-irresponsible Democrats, and when pitted against Donald Trump, could win fewer than two hundred electoral votes. Sanders represents everything that would destroy the United States from its very core, but his popularity and threat to Democrats’ viability for years to come rests at the Democrats’ very feet.

Democrats have a nasty habit of looking the other way when it comes to their own. Bill Clinton was already embroiled in an adultery scandal in the midst of his Presidential run in 1992, but he was nominated, and then subsequently elected anyway. This led to the Paula Jones sexual harassment lawsuit, which brought to light the Monica Lewinsky scandal, and then Bill Clinton both perjured himself and suborned perjury of Lewisky herself. He was rightly impeached, but did not face removal because Democrats don’t want to face reality.

Barack Obama was a two-bit nothing educator and “community organizer” who got himself elected to the Illinois Senate from Chicago; in spite of his cozying up to leftist group like the Weathermen and had a taste for radical leader Saul Alinksy, but he was pushed into the Democrat’s nomination for the US Senate, and had enough of his potential opponents smeared until there was essentially no one to face him. Four years later, this freshman Democrat was thrust into the nomination based on his paper-thin Senate record and his implied promise that he would make racial tensions go away. Suffice to say the “community organizer” spent two terms of his presidency doing little to help the economic fortunes of the black people he continued to politically exploit and made their lives measurably worse by tolerating riot caused by outburst from dubious claims of police “targeting” blacks across the country, from the Trayvon Martin to the Ferguson, Missouri, and Baltimore riots.

Hillary Clinton has a record of deep Machiavellian control over the Democrat party, getting herself elected in a state she never lived in prior to 2000, her and her husband’s “Clinton Foundation” was a slush-fund under the guise of a “charity,” which took massive donations from foreign governments around the world, and generally ran the US State Department like a dictator all for the purpose of cementing her own nomination and election in 2016. None of this was reported by the media or mentioned by her opponents.

All of these candidates were vulnerable if the DNC, the mainstream media, or even their primary opponents (and sometimes even the general election opponents) ever had the courage to speak up about these scandals and unreported crimes. That’s where we find ourselves with Bernie Sanders in the theoretical lead. Up until yesterday, no one but Republican politicians and conservative pundits have been willing to point out that Bernie Sanders is a dyed-in-the-wool socialist and even to this day, no one from the Democrat establishment is willing to point out that people on his staff are calling for violent revolution, even if Sanders wins the presidency.

There is dirt on Bernie Sanders for days: his constant support of communist and socialist dictatorships form the Soviet Union to Cuba to Venezuela, his calls for nationalizing various industries (most recently the electrical system this year), and his proposals, like his healthcare plan, which would triple the national budget from $40 trillion to over $130 trillion per year. The DNC know all this; the mainstream media knows all this; his primary opponents know all this, but even as he takes the lead in popularity, no one among the Democrats and the MSM are talking about it.

Democrats could have stopped Bernie and his campaign in 2016, but their unwillingness to shine the true light on anyone on the left has unquestionably harmed the country, left their own reputation in shambles, and put an octogenarian socialist in the driver’s seat for the nomination. He is the presumptive leader not because he had the best record, is the most deserving, or the moral leader of the Democrats, but because the party, the media, and even his opponents will not expose him for what he truly is: a danger to the nation.
