When Ideology Kills Art: Portland Theater Cancels Show Over Star’s Views

Fair is foul & foul is fair, according to the woke.

Wokeness may be spitting up blood with its death rattle, but it sure as hell is going to try to take as many innocent victims with it as possible before finally kicking the bucket.

One of those victims is Mary McDonald-Lewis, a voice actress, playwright, and dialect coach whose credits include Lightyear, Archer, Batman: The Animated Series, and G.I. Joe: The Movie, Kinds of Kindness, Green Room, Dollhouse, and many more.

With a resume featuring such high-profile projects as these, Mary hardly seems like the sort of person to be persona non grata’d by a small performing arts venue in Portland, Oregon, right?

Oh, my sweet summer child.

If you know anything about Woke Folk, you’ll know that displaying a mere ounce of reason in front of them is like bleeding in a river filled with shoals of starving piranha.

And that’s exactly what happened to Mary.

You see, she and her co-creator were all set to premiere their play, “The Macbeths’ — a reimagining of Shakespeare’s immortal play — at the Milagro Theatre in Portland in March.
