Day 0: One World Project

“If you were a superhero, what superpower would you have?” I asked.
“The ability to see the positive in everything!” said one.
“The power to throw seeds — no matter what kind, no matter whether boiled, roasted, fried, dried, old — anywhere, and for trees to grow from them so the world is habitable again!” said another.
“The power to freeze anyone about to do something violent in their tracks and to give them reason to think about what they are about to do and stop it in time!” said a third.

And then, from the side, the Thanos of the batch spoke up. “The power to kill humanity when it crosses the capacity for the planet to bear.”

Opportunity had presented herself. There was work to do. Two activities later, Thanos set his gauntlet aside.
“Can I change my superpower?”
“Sure, you can!”
“Intelligence. Superior intelligence. So that I will never think it is okay to kill humanity ever again.”

Little did he know that he already had that superpower as he walked out of class, laughing with his friends.
