Day 10: One World Project

Notes from a reflection journal. The conversation that followed was intensely moving. I share this at his request because he hopes his ideas can make a difference to others.

My past does not define me. “Because my future is still in my hands.”
My hate comes from my pain. “And I know I can heal, so I can rise above hate.”
My insecurity is not a weakness. “Because I know it lets me grow so long as it doesn’t grow over me.”
My strength is an illusion. “Because I’m not alone and there’s greater strength in unity in diversity.”

He’s 11.
