Quarterback play at WKU under Jeff Brohm is what can make or break the system, and this year alone four different guys are vying to be the guy who runs it. The high octane offense of the Tops was led by Brandon Doughty, who is now playing for the Miami Dolphins, but have no fear, because Coach Brohm might have found his next great play caller when Georgia QB Davis Shanley committed to WKU on Saturday night.

Shanley is rated a two star recruiting according to 247 sports. Shanley was an under the radar recruit with his only reported offer being from Old Dominion. However, after watching his highlight film, you understand what Coach Brohm sees in the future Topper. He is an athletic quarterback who has a strong arm, hilighted in his impressive reel.

He is someone that Coach Brohm can develop into a future starter at the position. Shanley is coming into a program that every quarterback dreams of, as two of his coaches were professional quarterbacks, and the offense is tailor made for his talents.

Shanley is the second Atlanta-area commit the Tops landed over the weekend.

Do you like the potential of Shanley being the QB of the future for the Tops? Whos next for Brohm and company? Let us know in a comment below or on twitter @TheTowelRackWKU.
