While WKU is known for its prowess onthe offensive side of the ball, Coach Jeff Brohm has recruited some great defensive players in his last few recruiting classes. That trend continued on Sunday when three-star Georgia linebacker Juwuan Jones committed to the Hilltoppers.

Jones becomes the 11th player to commit to the Toppers for the 2017 class. He joins Titus Curry as the second linebacker committment, a position that Coach Brohm has placed a heavy emphasis on for this recruiting cycle. Jones had 13 reported offers according to 247 sports including Air Force, Georgia State, Miami (OH), Southern Miss, Tulane, and Wisconsin. Coach Brohm is building an extremely talented class for this year, and it should make any Topper fan excited for the future.

Its no secret the defense has been a touchy subject with WKU fans in the past couple of years, but it looks like the core is coming together for a pretty good defense for the years to come.

What was your reaction when you saw Jones’ commitment to the Tops? How do you feel about Brohm being able to get guys from such a football-heavy area such as Atlanta? Let us know in a comment below or on twitter at @TheTowelRackWKU.
