Lady Topper Hoops: Lady Toppers to Face Miami (OH) in WNIT

Following an 18–14 maiden voyage for Greg Collins, including arguably one of the toughest non-conference schedules in the country, the Lady Toppers are headed to the WNIT as an at-large team and will play Miami (OH)on Thursday in Ohio.

A win would set up a matchup between either Ohio State or Morehead State. The Lady Tops were bounced from the 2016 NCAA Tournament at the hands of the Buckeyes.

Miami (OH) went 23–8 this season, with their best non-conference win coming against Cincinnati (also in the WNIT field), but did crank out 11 straight wins in the conference schedule before dropping four straight towards the end of the season.

The RedHawks were eliminated from the MAC tournament in the semifinals by Ohio.

WKU is one of five Conference USA teams in the field, along with UAB, Charlotte, MTSU and Old Dominion.
