Three weeks. 32 NFL teams. One goal for football’s crown jewel in a Super Bowl championship. The preseason has now come to a close as this week will determine roster cuts for the upcoming regular season. This also will decide some prominent practice squad additions. Will some of our #ProTops make the final cuts? Let's dive in and find out:

Jack Doyle did not play in the Colts' 27–17 win over the Lions. He is expected to split tight ends duties with Mo-Allie Cox this season.

Tyler Higbee did not play in the Rams' 17–12 loss to the Broncos.

Jordan Meredith was in rotation for the Rams offensive line during the contest as well. Being an undrafted free agent usually means a harder road to come onto an NFL roster. However, it’s safe to safe that this week, Meredith will be on the practice squad to start the season.

Taywan Taylor did not play in the Texans' 23–16 loss to the Buccaneers.

Forrest Lamp was waived by the Bills and in return, he was given an injury settlement. This makes him available to sign with another team in free agency.

Devon Key was waived by the Chiefs on Monday morning.

After a strong training camp showing, this somewhat changed going into preseason competition. Although the move itself is temporary, The Chiefs are strong believers in Key. As long as he is not claimed from waivers, he should remain on the practice squad with a probable return to the 53 man roster. He finishes with seven tackles and a pass breakup.

George Fant has prevailed to make his case as the unofficial starting right tackle (depending on what the Jets will do with Morgan Moses). He had a great preseason, allowing only three quarterback pressures in over 130 snaps.

Mike White did not play in the Jets’ 31–31 decision with the Eagles. He is still on the active roster and has been named as the team’s backup quarterback.

The Bears are having to deal with a lot of hard cuts in the next few days. Most notably, two of our #ProTops are trying to keep their chances strong. Joel Iyiegbuniwe is still looking on continuing his career in Chicago. He was credited with a PBU in Saturday’s 27–24 win over the Titans.

Dionte Ruffin was added back to the Bears on Thursday afternoon.

Coming into Saturday's game, he did not disappoint. He caught the eye of some fans & personnel following a pass breakup. He finished with four tackles, including a tackle for loss. Similar to Key’s situation in Kansas City, Ruffin could be a hot name on the Bears practice squad.

Stay tuned for more updates as the season progresses. Let’s play some football.
