Antwane Grant got a start on Friday in place of a injured Naaman Roosevelt, who also happens to be the Riders’ leading receiver, and played pretty well in Saskatchewan’s 18–17 win.

In total, Grant finished with two catches for 45 yards, including a 36-yard pick up in the second half, and also had one rush for seven yards.

In speaking with former interview guest, Adrian DeCorby, he said that, despite the low production, Grant had a pretty good game. He had a couple of plays get called back on penalties and also had some miscommunication with his quarterback, Kevin Glenn, who wasn’t 100% on target with each of his targets all night.

The long and the short of it is this — Grant looked good when he had the rock, he’s going to have another week of first-team practice and he’ll be on the field again next week, hopefully finding himself atop the depth chart once again.
