Two weeks of the NFL season are down and…the results have been disappointing. We had a pair of ProTops net touchdowns last week, which is exciting, but the fellas aren’t playing a ton.

Let them play!

Jonathan Dowling, Toronto Argonauts vs. Saskatchewan Roughriders (Saturday, 6 p.m. ESPN+)

Dowling made his CFL debut this year in the fifth week of the season for the Argonauts against Edmonton and has been activated to the active roster for the last three weeks — the first two games came against Hamilton and this week he’ll take on Antwane Grant’s former team (I’m still salty they let him go, by the way) the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

For those wanting to watch, it’ll be on at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN+.

Jack Doyle, Indianapolis Colts at Philadelphia Eagles (Sunday, 12 p.m. FOX)

Doyle caught two balls (five targets) for 20 yards in last week’s win over Washington. He’s still in search of his first touchdown of the season and hopefully it’ll come against the defending champs.

Joel Iyiegbuniwe, Chicago Bears at Arizona Cardinals (Sunday, 3:25 p.m. FOX)

As was projected of Iggy when he was drafted, he’s seeing a fair amount of special teams team. He’s yet to take the field for a defensive snap, per Pro Football Reference.

Taywan Taylor, Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars (Sunday, 12 p.m. FOX)

After being targeted just twice in the season opener, Taywan was given chances to make plays against Houston, including this touchdown off a screen play in which he made about three different defenders slip out of their shoes.

However, he was only targeted four total times and finished with 32 yards. Can’t be upset with the score, but it’d be nice to see him incorporated into the offense more. It is early, but early numbers can still frustrate.

The Titans are in for a big test in Jacksonville this week.

Tyler Higbee, Los Angeles Rams at Forrest Lamp, Los Angeles Chargers (Sunday, 3:05 p.m. CBS)

IT’S THE BATTLE OF LOS ANGELES YALL

Okay, not that Battle of Los Angeles. The football kind.

Higbee found the end zone last week, his only reception of the year so far (only two targets, as well) while I don’t believe Lamp has seen the field yet this year.

Mike White, Dallas Cowboys at George Fant, Seattle Seahawks (Sunday, 3:25 p.m. FOX)

Mike White most likely won’t see the field this week, but you never know what can happen.

It’s also been a frustrating start to the year for Fant, who has only seen three snaps — all in week one — for Seattle. I don’t know about you guys, but Germain Ifedi didn’t look great on Monday.
