Former Western Kentucky quarterback Mike White set MetLife Stadium, and Twitter, on fire Sunday afternoon, leading the New York Jets to a 34–31 win over the Cincinnati Bengals for the Jets’ second victory of the year.

White got the start after Jets’ starter and 2021 first-round pick Zach Wilson suffered a PCL injury last week.

White completed 37 of his 45 pass attempts for 405 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. He also caught a two-point conversion on the Jets’ rendition of the infamous Philly Special trick play.

White’s efforts landed him as the only QB to pass for 400 yards and three passing scores in their first career start since 1950.
