The 2021 NFL regular season is almost two weeks away & the teams are starting to make their next to last roster cuts. Let’s take a look at how our #ProTops did in week 3:

Devon Key had an assisted tackle in the Chiefs 17–10 win over the Cardinals.

Chicago Bears’ Joel Iyiegbuniwe played a total of 30 snaps with the linebacker group. He had one missed tackle against the Bears 41–15 loss to the Bills. After the addition of inside linebacker Alec Ogletree, Iggy’s time with the Bears may face an end. Despite a potential setback for his roster spot future, he could be a great addition to Chicago's special teams unit.

As of Monday, Iggy is listed on the injury report due to illness. He should be ready to return upon recovery.

Buffalo Bills’ Forrest Lamp: DNP vs the Bears.

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle: DNP vs Vikings.

Los Angeles Rams TE Tyler Higbee: DNP vs Raiders.

Elsewhere in the Rams locker room, Jordan Meredith was back in action on Saturday night against the Raiders. He came in riding a high from a very impressive outing last week. However, that did not necessarily continue into this past weekend. The offensive guard struggled on the line as he was graded in the bottom five of Saturday’s PFF grades. With camp slowly coming to a close, he should be able to bounce back to make the full roster for the Rams.

The Raiders were victorious over the Rams, 17–16.

Houston Texans WR Taywan Taylor: DNP vs Cowboys.

Mike White played some significant time at quarterback on Saturday against the Packers in Green Bay. He completed 7 out of 9 passes for 39 yards. Most of the time, he was pressured by the Packers defense, causing some protection concerns among the offensive line. This also caused him to leave the game due to a ribs injury. He is listed as day-to-day on the injury report going into Monday morning.

George Fant played 53 snaps at left tackle, having the most reps on the offensive line. He was very impressive, holding his own against a few of the Packers first-team defense.

Even though Fant is listed on the unofficial depth chart as a backup going into the regular season, Saturday’s performance could help propel him over Morgan Moses for the right tackle position.

White is still the front runner for the backup spot behind Zach Wilson. The Jets ended up defeating the Packers, 23–14.

Stay tuned for more updates as the preseason progresses.
