The final week of the 2020 NFL Season brought forth some emotional wins & disappointing finishes to the season. An assortment of #ProTops & their teams survived the season and will have a chance to bring home the Vince Lombardi Trophy. As always, let’s dive in as we recap the final week before the playoffs.

The New York Jets finished 2–14, acquiring the second overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. They lost to the Patriots 28–14. Mike White spent most of the year on the practice squad. He was active for three games due to injuries at the quarterback position. George Fant played 15 games this year starting on the offensive line. Compared to his previous seasons for the Seahawks, 2020 was his most successful season in his career.

The Houston Texans finished the season at 4–12. Romeo Crennel coached a near come from behind victory against the Titans. The Texans lost the game 41–38. While it is unclear if he’ll be retained as a defensive coordinator or take another job elsewhere, this was still a great start to changing the culture in Houston.

The Chargers finished the season with a 7–9 record. Forrest Lamp played all 16 games as an offensive guard for the first time in his career, proving his first-round draft pick status after season-ending battling injuries. This was a bright spot for a challenging season in Los Angeles.

Taywan Taylor remains on the injured reserve for the Browns. He was mostly on the practice squad this season. The Browns did clinch a playoff berth for the first time since 2002, finishing 10–6. They will face Pittsburgh for the third time this season in the wild card.

The Indianapolis Colts (who also finished 10–6) will also make an appearance on wild card weekend. The AFC East champs Buffalo Bills will host them in a Saturday afternoon showdown. Jack Doyle finished his season with 23 receptions, 251 yards, and three touchdowns.

The Bears managed to get one of the final wild card spots in the NFC North. They will finish with an 8–8 record, behind the division champs and rivals, the Packers. Joel Iyiegbuniwe made his presence known all season as he played a key part in the special teams unit. He made 12 total tackles in 2020. The Bears' next challenge will be against the Saints.

The Rams also caught fire at the right time, clinching a wild card spot. They finished in second place with a 10–6 record behind the Seahawks. Tyler Higbee had a productive season as he caught 44 receptions for 521 yards and five touchdowns. The Rams are scheduled to battle the Seahawks for the third time this year.

It was a great finish for the 14–2 Kansas City Chiefs. The returning Súper Bowl champions have clinched a first-round bye in the AFC. The AFC West Champs will now wait for their next opponent. Deon Yelder had more opportunities to showcase his talent in 2020 with increasing offensive snaps. He finished with seven receptions for 36 yards.

Although the 2020 NFL season was played with a lot of uncertainty and modifications, it was still a successful one. We are all proud of our #ProTops and here’s to a wild month in the battle for the Lombardi Trophy.

Stay tuned for more updates as the playoff season progresses.
