#ProTops Week 3 NFL Update

It’s that time of the week again! After a wild and unpredictable first couple of weeks, the NFL action had finally started to die down. Some of our Pro Tops were active this week, let’s find out what happened:

Tyler Higbee’s huge performance from a week ago was the talk of the NFL going into this past weekend. However, that result didn’t translate over onto Sunday. The Rams fell to a strong Bills team, 35–32. Higbee only had two receptions for 40 yards. His longest catch had gone for 31 yards.

Joel Iyiegbuniwe remains a special teams ace for the Bears. They improve to 3–0 after an emotional comeback over the Falcons 30–26. Iggy has a solo tackle along with playing 30 total snap counts on both special teams and defense.

Taywan Taylor remains on the Browns practice squad. The Browns improved to 2–0 after beating Washington 34–20.

On Sunday, the Colts and the Jets battled. It ended up going in favor of Jack Doyle’s team, 36–7. Doyle was inactive this past week with knee and ankle injuries. The Colts are now 2–1 in his absence. The “Topper Jets” are now 0–3 on the season. George Fant was inactive due to concussion protocol. Mike White is still on the active roster as a backup quarterback. Given the team’s performances, you would have to hope for a potential opportunity coming to the man who once donned #14.

Forrest Lamp and the Chargers fell to 0–3 on the season. Their latest blemish had come from the Panthers as they came up short 21–16. Lamp was on the offensive line with 78 snap counts. He was also on special teams duty for 2 plays.

Last but not least, Deon Yelder’s Chiefs were on Monday Night Football to close out the week. Their opponents were the Ravens. They took center stage as the highly anticipated showdown between Patrick Mahomes & Lamar Jackson took place. The Chiefs became victorious, 34–20. Yelder was active for a few plays as an extra tight end in formation.
