Happy Labor Day, my fellow Toppers! This weekend was quite eventful with the kickoff of football season but what else has happened that you might’ve missed?

Let’s take a look.

8:30 p.m. CT: WKU soccer defeats Kentucky Christian 9–0. Lady Tops tied the record of most goals in a single match tonight at home.

Engle made history in her debut being the first dual-athlete between soccer and volleyball at WKU.

4:00 p.m. CT: Even with today being Labor Day, Coach Sanford still met with media today to discuss the Wisconsin game as well as looking forward to this week’s home opener.

9:30 a.m. CT: In case you missed it from yesterday, seven former Hilltoppers are now on 53 man NFL rosters this season! This is the most that have made a final roster in WKU history.

9 a.m. CT: One thing that was kinda glanced over the past few days was the addition of former volleyball star Sydney Engle to WKU’s soccer team.

She will be joining the team as a goalkeeper. The Tops tied with Lipscomb this past Friday 1–1. They play KCU at home tonight at 6 pm.
