Dwight Coleby, a Kansas transfer, will be heading the front court this year for the Hilltoppers. Coleby started his career off at Ole Miss, starting seven games for the Rebels over two seasons, before transfering to Kansas and played five minutes a game for the Jayhawks.

Coleby will be tasked with playing a lot of minutes day in and day out, since Western Kentucky’s front court is thin. He has shown in the past that he can produce when given the opportunity so expect big stat lines from him this season.

At Kansas, he averaged 1.7 points and 0.5 blocks while only playing five minutes. If you watched Kansas play last year, you know how star-studded that team was, so producing that statline in 1.) limited time and 2.) against Big 12 competition should translate well into regular court time in Conference USA.

Although Dwight Coleby is 6'9", 236 pounds, he can still get up for electrifying dunks that will shake Diddle. With Lamonte Bearden’s ability to drive to the basket, expect defenders to crash onto Bearden, leaving Dwight Coleby wide open in the paint to throw down alley-oops.

Coleby also can score with his back to the basket, which will allow him to kick out to shooters or post up his defender and score. Defensively, he showed at Kansas that he can protect the rim averaging 0.5 blocks per game. He will continue that over in Bowling Green.

Dwight Coleby will play a big role with the Hilltoppers year. Although the front court is thin with only Justin Johnson and Moustapha Diagne, Coleby will produce in bunches.

Projected Season Statline

PPG: 12.3
RPG: 9.4
APG: 1.9
SPG: 1.1
BPG: 2.0
